ABOUT WHISKEY SPIDER
Whiskey Spider is a horror punk rock band from South Jersey. Started in the winter of 2007. The band started with Flesbone ( of Death Valley Knights) on the bass, Carlos (of Death Valley Knights) on drums, and Marino ( of First Step to Failure) on guitar. The guys went into the practice room and just began jamming and writing from Dec. '07 until March '08. The three had written a a nice set's worth of songs also with some Misfits covers. The first show the guy played was at the Cherrywood Bar in Clementon, to a full crowd. The guys played all their originals as instrumentals, and had Joe Barr aka "Barf", joining on the Misfits covers. Soon after Barf ( of Striving For Better) joined as the singer. 2008 was a year of great expectations, great ups, and some very low downs, the guys had begun playing the cherrywood every week on Thursdays for open mic night, which was always received well. Eventually the guys made up to the paying shows on the weekends, and played to a huge audience and finally made a name for themselves. Right after the show ....... several line-up changes, due to personal responsibilities and an almost year hiatus has put the guys almost out of commission, but some good luck has fallen the way of the guys in Whiskey Spider. 2 Acoustic performances in spring/summer of 2009 sparked the re-birth of Whiskey Spider, along with all the original members
Now with the whole band back together Whiskey Spider will be bringing you the perfect blend of, pure rock and roll, the riffs of great metal, the themes of 50's style horror, thunderous beats of an alternative music style. All with socially aware and relevant songs to complete the awesome melting pot which makes Whiskey Spider, in fact a band that still turns heads
2010 has been a year of greatness for the band...Finally releasing the "Along Came A Spider" Demo and playing the mainstage Trocedaro and A Jaw dropping performance at the Delancey in NYC has poised the guys for greatness
